DMA Locker was recently detected by the Dell Sonicwall Team. This is a ransomware threat. Ransomware holds your files captive, under a technology lock, until you pay a certain fee to get them back. Hackers have found ransomware to be a very lucrative business.
This virus comes in the form of an attachment. When you click the attachment, it sends a message throughout your computer and locks all of your files. You will see the error message that will display once you have been infected below. The error message states the only way to get your files back is to pay a fee (ransom) and typically requests bitcoin payment.
