Cris has spent over a decade in the IT industry, primarily working in corporate environments as an IT Helpdesk and Customer Service representative. Over the years, Cris has honed his ability to troubleshoot a wide range of technical issues, provide excellent support to users, and maintain reliable IT systems. These experiences shaped his patient, solution-oriented approach, making him a trusted problem solver in any IT scenario.
Role at Datasmith
At Datasmith, Cris plays a dual role on the Helpdesk and NOC teams. He handles incoming queries about hardware, software, networks, and systems, troubleshooting common problems, and escalating complex issues when necessary. Cris also monitors the IT infrastructure to detect and address potential problems before they escalate. His work ensures that the firm’s technology runs smoothly and that colleagues can quickly get back to work when challenges arise.

Cris thrives on the variety of challenges his role provides. Every day brings something new, and the immediate impact of resolving technical issues, getting a teammate back on track, gives him a strong sense of accomplishment.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Cris dreamed of becoming a painter or artist, creating anime-style drawings and paintings.
What are some of your favorite hobbies?
He enjoys playing chess, participating in his local community team, and riding his motorcycle, a perfect way to unwind and enjoy some “me time.”
Who do you admire most in your life?
His mother, who has been his inspiration and guide throughout his life.
Can you share something unique that has happened in your life?
Becoming a father of two transformed his perspective on life. It taught him responsibility, reliability, and the importance of keeping his children safe and happy.

Superman, because, really, who doesn’t love him?

Moby Dick; or The Whale by Herman Melville.

The Shawshank Redemption.

Where is your favorite place to visit?
TOPS Cebu, where he recently enjoyed a staycation and breathtaking 360-degree views of the island.

Game of Thrones (he’s recently re-watched it!) and Landman.
